The daily problems of an online academy, solved in one place
Live lessons on an interactive board
- The problem
- Meeting links all over the place, and the board work is lost once the lesson ends.
- The fix
- The lesson room opens ten minutes before the start for its teacher and students only: video, audio and screen sharing, and a shared board with pages, backgrounds, PDF files and 16 educational shape libraries. The teacher controls the pen, and the board is saved, reopened after the lesson and exported as PDF.
Scheduling within teachers' hours
- The problem
- Arranging times over messages ends in clashes, or in a lesson outside the teacher's hours.
- The fix
- Each teacher has working hours in their own time zone, and a lesson outside them is refused unless explicitly overridden and logged. One schedule for every teacher shows lessons and free slots, weekly series never clash, and each time shows in the viewer's own time zone.
Prices in each country's currency
- The problem
- Your students are in the Gulf and Egypt, and you convert one price by hand for each of them.
- The fix
- Set a price for each country in its currency, or convert it from your reference currency at the exchange rate, rounded to suit each currency. Every invoice keeps the price and exchange rate of the day it was issued; payments are recorded by hand or by bank transfer confirmed by finance.
Lesson credits and teacher pay
- The problem
- Working out what each student has left and what each teacher is owed at month end, in scattered spreadsheets.
- The fix
- A package gives the student lesson credits with an expiry date; each finished lesson uses one and records the teacher's share by their agreement: per hour, per lesson or a percentage. A monthly payroll for each teacher exports to Excel or Word.
A website under your name, and a student portal
- The problem
- Students find you on scattered pages, with nowhere to see their lessons and invoices.
- The fix
- A site with your logo, colours and font showing your courses, teachers and packages in the visitor's currency with an enquiry form, on your ClassVerra address or your own domain. Students sign in with email or phone number to a portal with their lessons, credit and invoices.
Lesson reminders on WhatsApp
- The problem
- A student forgets the time, and a teacher waits in an empty room.
- The fix
- Connect your academy's number, and before every live lesson the teacher, student and parent get a reminder in their own time zone with the join link; the teacher is notified if it can't be sent.

Questions we hear often
What is ClassVerra?
A platform for running online academies and independent teachers: live lessons and scheduling, students and packages, payments and teacher pay, the public website and the student portal, in one dashboard in Arabic and English.
Can I start for free?
Yes. Sign-up needs no payment card, and your space starts on the trial plan. Sign-up for independent teachers is free for now; an academy's subscription is agreed with the ClassVerra team.
Are live lessons available to every space?
Live lessons and scheduling are in early access, and the ClassVerra team turns them on for each space. Rooms run on our servers, and the number of simultaneous lessons depends on the plan: two at a time on an academy's first subscription.
Which currencies can I price and collect in?
You choose a reference currency (US dollars by default) and add a market for each country in its own currency, including the Kuwaiti and Bahraini dinar and the Omani rial with three decimals. Payments today are recorded by hand or made by bank transfer, where the student uploads the receipt and finance confirms it; there is no online payment gateway yet.
Can my site be on my own domain?
Yes. Every space has a site on a ClassVerra address, and our team connects your own domain so your site and your students' sign-in pages open on it.
How is a teacher's pay worked out?
Each teacher has an agreement: per hour, per lesson, a percentage, or an amount per student, in its own currency and from a start date. Pay is recorded when each lesson ends, by the agreement in force that day, and shows in a monthly payroll that exports to Excel or Word.
How do students sign in?
On the academy's own site, with email or phone number. The account belongs to that academy only, and shows the student's lessons with the room link, their package credit and invoices.
Does the platform support English?
The academy dashboard and the student portal work in right-to-left Arabic and in English, and each user picks their language. Academy public sites are in Arabic for now.
